I’m surprised you didn’t get “Aussie Indie” from Spotify. I imagined that Carlo would have been playing some King Gizzard on you phone for no other reason than to intentionally skew your year-end results.

Cocaine Bear is giving me a reason to live until February. It looks like the most insane movie ever and I can't wait to see it.

Someone (and that someone is almost for sure the Yankees) is going to overpay for Judge and end up with a platoon DH in about five years. But after last season he should get paid in some fashion, and if he puts up even two more years like 2022 and gets a team to the World Series, it's worth it.

The obvious sequel to Cocaine Bear is Breaking Bear, about a meth-dealing grizzly. And of course Cheech and Chong's Bear in Smoke.

I’m sorry but the failure to write “Seattle Gott its Man” makes me question my subscription.

Every time I drive by a water tower with my kid he says, “I’m glad we don’t live here! Because the first thing that gets blown up is the water tower. If there is a plane crash, it’s going to hit the water tower.”

Good luck SF with those robots.

San Francisco watches ONE movie, but it's "Cocaine Bear" then they send in robots on cocaine.

That "adult" aspect of Christine McVie — real or imagined — totally came through to me in her singing, even as a kid. I love Stevie, but Christine was never trying to channel a Welsh witch or any other such nonsense. And in the post-Janis world, it was a revelation to hear that a woman could be bluesy and soulful in her singing without resorting to showy "blues mama" cliches. She just seemed content to be herself (even if that self was deeply conflicted about things that were going on in her life), and write, sing and play amazing songs which just happened to soundtrack a lot of my happier childhood moments. This one does indeed hurt.

It says the Yankees might increase their offer if the Giants match it, but how would they know the Giants matched it? Aside from taking the word of Judge's agent. Teams don't publicize what their offers are. It's not uncommon for a writer to get news of it, like Passan did in this case. But if often turns out those rumors were off by a bit. Sometimes more than a bit.

Maybe the Giants would give an offer in writing that Judge's agent can then show the Yankees? I don't know how it works.

All those f-bombs in the Cocaine Bear trailer, Isiah Whitlock Jr. in the cast, and not one "Sheeeeeeeeit".

I am disappoint, but I will happily see this movie because I think it's going to be batshit.

You should think about Every Which Way But Loose more than Avatar, it is a stone cold classic.

I often wax poetic about pre-covid life, but now i'm going to have to add a new mile marker in life as life before the Cocaine Bear trailer, and after. A friend of mine excitedly texted me about it yesterday and after the initial confusion of "wait, Ray Liotta, this is his final movie? Why God Why?..." I guess with such poor overall faire in theatres, this will do quite nicely, or I'll forever ignore it, not sure what'll happen first.

We use Amazon Music for our constant tunage and not spotify, so not sure i can get one of those cool concert poster thingies, but it'd basically be Rush opening for the Beatles every night of the festival, kinda boring but very on brand for me. But it'd be pretty mashed up with the newer Juice Wrld-flavored stuff my son listens to which is completely the opposite.

I remember quite enjoying Avatar and it being entirely forgettable except that it was exactly like Dances with Wolves, and all the jokes we've made for a decade about sequels eventually coming. Either nobody will watch it or it'll be the 3rd most popular movie ever, not sure how it'll break. Too bad they couldn't get Wong to cameo.

Losing Christine McVie to me was the equivalent in fandom to the day us Rush fans lost Neil Peart. I feel for every F.M. fan today. She was the backbone of at least what we perceive of that band, if not in reality then at least in the back of our minds. What a voice, what talent. What a loss for all of us.

Here's hoping Al Roker recovers nicely. Terrible time of the year for him to be on the shelf with the parade and tree lighting, here's for a quick recovery and back to what's going on around the country in our neck of the woods.

Here's hoping Aaron Judge extracts every dollar he can in his Winter '22-'23 revenge tour.

As you can imagine, my Spotify Wrapped was especially charged because of everything that happened this year - and not surprisingly, I am a Frank Turner superfan (over 60 hours on him alone!) with The Next Storm at the top of my list. Rejoice, rebuild the storm has passed…

PS Waiting for the Nats to say they offered 8/296M #ShootJustMissedAgain

Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet, I loved that trailer. Will definitely watch once it streams, won’t go to movies though. Also loved ‘White Line’, brought back some 80’s memories.

There’s no doubt in my mind that Cocaine Bear will be a massive hit, quickly scooped up by Disney, and followed up with a number of movies starring characters such as Meth Raccoon and Fentanyl Frog. Somehow Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd and Chris Evans will eventually make their way into the Universe.

Cocaine Bear seems like Snakes on a Plane for 2023.

I mean that as the greatest compliment.
