Both the Yankees and Cardinals clinched their divisions last night while Atlanta moved into a first place tie with the Mets. The highlight of the night, though, had to be one guy balking three times in a single at-bat.
Elsewhere, I read a story so unhinged yesterday that I had to break it down 2007 blog-style, we learned something about Atlanta starter Bryce Elder’s college years, and a pitcher was awarded $100K for tweeting, to which we can all only tip our caps in admiration.
In Other Stuff, I identify Tom Hanks four good movies — and I’m right about this no matter what the Academy and the critics say — there are folks out there who think the fascists have a point, we are introduced to the Servants of the Damned, we take a look at Alan Rickman’s diary, and we have a guest post from a subscriber that’ll make you realize just how dusty the room in which you are sitting suddenly became.
