Last night the Dodgers clinched the NL West for the ninth time in ten years, we almost had a combined no-hitter, and Aaron Judge socked homers 56 and 57.
Elsewhere, a new Japanese home run record has been matched and a more impressive Japanese home run record is possible. There is also some intrigue with the Puerto Rican World Baseball Classic squad and some gambling jackwagons, as always, want to sully something that is pure.
In Other Stuff, I am puzzled at people thinking that Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was “snubbed” at the Emmys and I’m even more puzzled as to why anyone claims with a straight face that either she or King Charles III has “personal holdings” when, in reality, everything they own is either the direct or indirect product of the plunder of an empire. Finally, it’s always amazing when someone stops doing a thing their financial patron didn’t care despite their claims that it’s, actually, just a coincidence.
