Good morning! And Happy World Series! I hope you all remember how to watch baseball. It’s been a while.
Today I have some thoughts about the World Series but they’re not deep thoughts and they’re not predictions. I write a feature called And That Happened, not one called What Will Happen, and there’s a reason for that. The most I can do is give my gut feeling so that’s what I’ll do here.
Elsewhere: there is some front office intrigue in Milwaukee that could affect New York or possibly even Houston is you believe what some people are saying. There’s also something about MLB’s official social media correspondent for the World Series which, honestly, should be me but some pitcher big-footed me. We also talk about a lawsuit against Major League Baseball that just got thrown out.
In Other Stuff no one hacked the New York Post, Republicans love the good ol’ days so much that they probably copied a 50 year-old political espionage break-in as an homage, I talk some about people’s political identities, Facebook has no idea who it’s talking to, and we follow up this week’s U2 talk with an article that talks a hell of a lot more about U2 than I could possibly muster.
