World Series stuff, George W. Bush hate, asymmetrical stadium hate, shit-stirring, Texas wine, an unconscionable justification for weapons sales, Musk, the Gilgo Beach Killer, and The Beatles
Good morning!
The World Series kicks off tonight. Well, there’s no actual kickoff because this is baseball but you know what I mean.
Because there has been no baseball for two days there isn’t a ton of actual baseball content today but I do talk a bit about starting pitchers, about the umpires, something fun about unnecessarily asymmetrical ballparks, and about the jackwagon they got to throw out the first pitch for Game 1. And that take, folks, gets a bit spicy.
With the limited baseball content I have a lot of Other Stuff. Such as a reminder of some shit-stirring I did five years ago, more on Texas wine, an unconscionable political gambit from the Biden Administration (see, I can be spicy in bipartisan fashion), a review of Elon Musk’s year in charge of Twitter, a great story about the botched hunt for the Gilgo Beach Killer, some actual good news from the world of science/medicine, and my pre-listening assessment of The Last Beatles Song.
Let’s get at ‘er.
