The MVPs, Manfred on FTX, the eyewash that is "MLB University," Atlanta Baseball Club stock, the new House GOP majority, "A Christmas Story," 10,000 mink, and trekking poles
Good morning!
The final awards were handed out last night, as too was the 2024 All-Star Game, and we had a somewhat minor trade. Rob Manfred said something telling about the FTX thing, and a really famous ballplayer is now a defendant in an FTX lawsuit. Also, Major League Baseball is launching “MLB University” and it’s nothing but eyewash as far as I’m concerned, Shohei Ohtani is going to play in the WBC, and you can soon buy and sell stock in the Atlanta Baseball Club if your heart so desires.
In Other Stuff, the new House GOP majority is going to waste two years, the “A Christmas Story” house is for sale, 10,000 mink are on the loose in Ohio, and I got some trekking poles.
Let’s hike — like an awkward middle aged doofus — into the weekend, shall we?
