We have two new Manager of the Year winners. The decisions on qualifying offers came out yesterday. Shohei Ohtani may pull a Crazy Ivan. Brian Cashman just learned why he should probably just shut up and not slam his own players, even if he’s honest in doing so. The A’s Vegas business model sounds shaky. Rob Manfred was sent a nastygram by the U.S. Senate, and Padres owner Peter Seidler has passed away at only 63 years old.
In Other Stuff, a soccer player was dropped from a broadcasting job for speaking out about gambling addiction, a U.S. Senator totally lost his cool in the dumbest way possible, and I share two stories about the Teamsters that are not particularly insightful but they’re still kinda fun.
