The one benefit of this game being a (mostly) walkover was that I felt liberated to mute it, put my headphones on, and turn on the Spotify-created playlist “Dreampop Classics.” Watching the final six innings of the game to Cocteau Twins and Beach House was way better than watching it to John Smoltz. Probably would go for a closer game too.
Anyway, we have a few words on that game today, not that they’re really necessary.
