Yamamoto is a Dodger, some rule tweaks, life imitates art, life imitates Orwell, a Duke Boy gone bad, a guest post about Babe Ruth, and a few more words about this newsletter's eventual migration
Good morning!
The biggest piece on the board — Yoshinobu Yamamoto — signed last night. There were some rules tweaks announced yesterday. I have a few more words about this newsletter’s eventual migration to another platform. Also: life imitates art, life imitates Orwell, a Duke Boy gone bad, and a guest post about Babe Ruth . . . not playing baseball.
And just a heads up: I’ll likely post a thread of some kind for chatting purposes on Monday and Tuesday — and if some truly big baseball news happens between now and then I’ll post at least something about it — but there won’t be full newsletters those days. Monday is Christmas of course. Tuesday is Boxing Day. I don’t actually celebrate Boxing Day — I’ll mostly be watching soccer and stuff — but since I write the bulk of these things the day before, and since I prefer not to work on Christmas, we’ll resume normality on Wednesday. Thanks for understanding and ho-ho-ho now I have a machine gun, etc.
