The first step toward minor league unionization is being taken. A big contract extension went down. Also: a dumb injury, Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, boondoggles, nuclear fusion and maximum dadhood
Good morning!
My travels are over so we’re back to normal around these parts, recaps and all. Which, apart from a weird tangent about Joe DiMaggio and contemplation of the concept of a necropolis, are pretty straightforward. There’s also big news about the potential unionization of minor leaguers, a big contract extension, a small contract extension, a super dumb injury that at least allows me to make a sold B+ of a joke, the continued downfall of the Brewers bullpen and notable news about both Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays, because sure, it’s 2022.
In Other Stuff, I ask myself how much I really want to know about Brentford F.C., we get reminder number 4,080 that we are what we pretend to be so we must be careful what we pretend to be, and there are items about boondoggles, nuclear fusion, and my full embrace of middle aged dadhood via my new habit of consuming general history audiobooks. I’m a pair of gleaming white New Balances away from the point of no return.
Anyway, enough chatter. Let’s get at ‘er.
